Skip Prices/Sizes

When hiring a skip you need to be sure that the skip is the right size for the job – under or over estimating the size can waste time and money. On this page we have created a handy guide to the size and range of skips we offer and pricing for our most popular skips. If in any doubt do not hesitate to give us a call on 0151 933 0308 and we will do our best to advise you on the most appropriate skip size for you.

Please ensure that you allow at least 1 foot/30.5 cm of space around the skip so that we can drop and lift the skip safely.

Please note prices for our skips may change from time to time, but current prices for our most popular skips are:

MIDI (4 TON)

£130.00 + VAT = £156.00

MAXI (8 TON)

£196.00 + VAT = £235.20

If the skip is placed anywhere on the public highway a skip permit is required (click here to view our Skip Permit page to see how this works). When you hire your skip from us, if a skip permit is needed, we will apply for this on your behalf and will add this cost to the cost of the skip (see below). If you tell us that the skip will be going on private land and it is actually going on the public highway, we will add the cost of the permit to your invoice. You can apply for the permit yourself but this will not save you any money.

The cost of the permits tend to vary between local authorities, the following charges currently apply:

Liverpool City Council – £26.40

Knowsley Council – £26.40 (for more details see the Knowsley council web site)

Sefton Council – £26.40 (for more details see the Sefton council website)

The above permit costs need to be added to the cost of the skip hire and are inclusive of VAT.

Midi Skip

4-t-skip

Midi skips are the most popular for garden jobs, bathroom and kitchen rip outs and are used by the building trade and for larger domestic jobs. Note: When hiring a Midi skip you will need a local authority permit if the skip is to be located on the public highway – we will arrange this for you and add the cost to our hire charge.

8-t-skip

The Maxi Skip is our most popular skip across all types of jobs. The Maxi skip is higher than the standard Midi skip and is suitable for the building trade and the biggest of domestic jobs.
Note: When hiring a Maxi skip you will need a local authority permit if the skip is to be located on the public highway – we will arrange this for you and add the cost to our hire charge.
